To the Editor: Dave Brown is a candidate for the North Andover School Committee. He has always been a strong advocate for the children of North Andover. His skills and experience make him uniquely qualified for this role. Dave has extensive executive management experience. He understands the role of a supervisory board and how to build relationships between a board and an administration. He has been a teacher at both the high school and college levels. Most importantly, Dave s three children graduated from North Andover Public Schools. Dave Brown has clearly demonstrated his commitment to the community. He s been involved in many volunteer activities for more than 20 years. He has held leadership positions for the Trustees of Osgood Hill, the Fields Committee, North Andover Little League and the North Andover Booster Club. Dave also served on the most recent search committee for the High School Principal. ....

In that time we have had some amazing accomplishments in North Andover including Completion of the first Facilities Master Plan, which included: Total renovation of Town Hall, New Fire Station, New School administration building, Kittredge School Gym, Addition to the DPW building, construction of the Anne Bradstreet Early Childhood Center Eight years of consensus budgets brought to the floor of town meeting Sustained AAA bond rating Currently, we are on the verge of some major initiatives in North Andover. The Amazon project is going to be transformative for North Andover. I was part of the negotiating team that worked on the TIF and Community Agreement. ....

(Ed Wheeler Photography) NORTH ANDOVER, MA Dave Brown is running for a seat on the School Committee in the March 30 town election. A management consultant and engineering teacher, Brown is one of at least five candidates who have taken out papers to run for two open seats on the committee. He faces incumbent Andrew McDevitt as well as Rebecca Stronck, Pamela Pietrowski and Joe Hicks. Friday was the last day papers were available. They are due back to the town clerk s office on Tuesday. As of Monday, 12 candidates had taken out papers across all open seats. ....
