By ASI Media Staff As the first quarter of 2021 wraps up, the 10 participants in ASI Media’s Project 2021 report varying levels of success – and an overall optimism for the rest of the year. Overall, in the promo industry, sales were down by nearly 15%, compared to the first quarter of 2020. However, most promo pros believe 2021 sales will surpass 2020 levels, and over 40% expect to beat their 2019 sales. Although annual events such as the Shamrock Club s Irish Family Reunion and St. Patrick s Day Parade are canceled because of COVID-19, President Andy Shuman said the club will look forward to conducting events in 2022. Meanwhile, here s a sampling of events taking place in person or virtually to recognize Ireland s heritage and culture. Family events • St. Patrick s Day reverse parade The City of Dublin will host the annual St. Patrick s Day Parade from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Darree Fields, 6259 Cosgray Rd. But with social-distancing guidelines in effect, it won t be your typical parade. The parade s Irish dancers, floats and other participant groups will be stationary as spectators pass through the free event from their cars. ....
