Toyota Supra vs Jaguar F-Type | Auto Express

Toyota GR Supra launched to great fanfare in 2019, and can cut it with great-driving sports cars like the Porsche 718 Cayman, while matching the image and usability of models such as Audi’s TT. However, the Japanese machine has only been available with a 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six in the UK, despite a 2.0-litre four-cylinder model being offered in Toyota’s home country. Until now. Although it has less power, this new 2.0-litre GR Supra also weighs less than its brawnier brother, so it could be the keen driver’s choice – plus it’s also cheaper, to the tune of £8,345 spec-for-spec (the smaller-engined model only comes in Pro trim).

Inside a Covid car launch | Auto Express

We’ve all had to adapt the way we go about our business since March 2020 – either by turning the kitchen table into a makeshift office, or leaving for work in a mask and gloves. Like it or not, it’ll remain this way for some time, too. The automotive industry is no different, and Auto Express content has evolved, with the team having to tweak some of your favourite editorial to make it fit in our new, Covid-confined world.  No other area is this more evident than when it comes to driving and writing about new cars. When the UK first went into lockdown last March, car launches halted; media drives were cancelled, press bookings ceased and long-term test cars were left collecting dust on driveways.

How to wash your car | Auto Express

Keeping your car clean admittedly isn’t the most exciting part of the car ownership experience, though it is one of the most important and rewarding things you can do to your vehicle. As well as taking care of car inside and out, which will help improve its resale values and boost its longevity, there’s also the satisfaction of taking a dirty motor and trying to restore the factory fresh appearance it had when brand new. While you can have your car cleaned at drive-through hand car wash or an automatic car wash, it’s worth having a go at it yourself. A DIY clean means you can scrub down the car as thoroughly as you want – and, once you’ve bought all the sponges, soaps and other lotions and potions you’ll need, it can also save you a bit of money in the long run. Plus, there’s the reward of knowing you were the one who made your car squeaky clean again.
