ST CLOUD Friends and family members said goodbye as troops left for a deployment to Kuwait Tuesday.
About 75 St. Cloud-based B Company soldiers are part of nearly 1,100 soldiers from the Minnesota National Guard’s 1-194th Armor Regiment to deploy in support of Operation Spartan Shield.
A ceremony inside the armory was streamed live to the internet Tuesday so that friends and family members could watch. Thanks for taking a moment of your time today to make these soldiers the center of your attention. They represent the best of Minnesota, B Company leader Captain Adam Gades said during the ceremony. They show up, they work their tails off and they don t ask for anything special or any thanks. You should be extremely proud of them, I know I am.
South Carolina sees record-breaking number of homes sold in 2020
SC real estate broke records in 2020 By Zach Wilcox | January 27, 2021 at 10:19 PM EST - Updated January 27 at 11:04 PM
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - A new record number of homes were sold in South Carolina last year.
A report from the South Carolina Realtors Association shows 101,500 homes were sold in the Palmetto State throughout 2020.
In 2020, homebuyers changed addresses at a record-setting pace across the state, which was surprising for one local real estate agent who prepared for the worst when the pandemic struck.
“I got married in 2009, and we were not yet at the bottom of the real estate market, but the market was in a free fall at that point,” said Adam Cates, president of Tradd Commercial. “There were flavors of that at the end of the first quarter last year.”
