Asia-Europe Summit in Cambodia postponed again

Phnom Penh, Mar 6 (Prensa Latina) Cambodia has announced that the 13th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM 13) will be held in this capital in late-2021 (date to be confirmed), due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This is the second time the summit has been postponed, as it was originally scheduled for November 2020, and for the same reasons, it was postponed until June.
After a videoconference of senior ASEM officials, the participants agreed to postpone the event, the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said in a statement.

The two foreign ministers were glad to report that despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and Cambodia had been continuing to flourish, as mutual trust was increasingly consolidated via phone calls, high-level summits and other bilateral mechanisms, and cooperation between sectors and localities promoted, according to the Vietnamese foreign ministry.
