A woman has been charged with high-range PCA after being caught driving with a child in the car on the state's Mid North coast yesterday. About 3.45pm.
A woman, police say was driving almost six times over the legal alcohol limit with a child in the car, has been charged. Police were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on the Oxley Highway at Port Macquarie, just before 4pm yesterday. Her roadside breath test returned a positive result and she was arrested.
A breath analysis test at Port Macquarie police station returned an alleged reading of 0.293, almost six times the legal limit.
The woman was issued a court attendance notice for driving with high-range PCA and had her driver s license suspended.
She will appear at Port Macquarie Local Court on July 14.
The child was returned to the care of family members. Family and Community Services have been notified.
