When asked which party they would vote for if an election were held today, Trudeau’s Liberals were the choice of 36 per cent of leaning and decided voters who responded to Mainstreet’s survey of 1,403 adult Canadians on Feb. 24 and 25. Conservative support sits at 31 per cent.
New Democrats came in third with 15 per cent, followed by the Greens with seven per cent, and the Bloc Québécois with five per cent.
Support for the Liberals has dipped slightly, from 39 to 36 per cent, since the last Mainstreet poll in late January, when the party enjoyed its largest margin of approval since September 2020.
