Vice President Kamala Harris is set to virtually meet with Mexico President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador next month. The said virtual meeting will happen on May 7, and the high officials of the United States and Mexico will address the root cause of the border crisis, Fox News reported.
It can be remembered that in March, President Joe Biden tapped the U.S. Vice President to lead the efforts of the White House in addressing the border issues. Since then, Harris is expected to establish and work with Mexico and the northern triangle countries composed of EL Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala.
Vice President Kamala Harris has finally moved into the vice presidents official residence at the Naval Observatory grounds in Northwest Washington.
Harris settled into the residence on Tuesday night, and it was delayed for about two months because of the property s renovations.
The official residence is a Queen Anne-style, six-bedroom house, New York Post reported. The house sits on the 12 acres of the 72-acre grounds of the still operational U.S. Naval Observatory (USNO). Previous vice presidents have welcomed various guests into the residence, including dignitaries and foreign leaders.
