Crown Princess Mary of Denmark looked in good spirits as she joined her husband Crown Prince Frederick to move their eldest son Prince Christian into his new boarding school in Næstved.
He beamed for photos while standing next to Prince Christian, who waved to fans.
Queen Margrethe, 81, looked elegant in a coral coat dress, a matching fascinator, pearl jewellery and court shoes.

The destinations which the Danish Queen will visit on her royal yacht this season have been revealed. It will be a varied summer tour with the ship due to travel a long distance. It was not possible for the Danish Royal Family to use the ship in 2020 due to the COVID-19 situation. When Her Majesty the Queen officially goes aboard the Royal Danish Ship Dannebrog on 4 May at it will be the beginning of a sailing season that takes the Queen to a Reunion Celebration in Southern Jutland, a trip to the Faroe Islands and Greenland, and on a summer trip to the municipalities of Thisted, Esbjerg and Fanø.

On Wednesday, surprising news emerged from the Danish Royal Family. Once Prince Christian completes his school education in Gentofte this summer, it has been confirmed that the future Danish king will attend a prestigious boarding school from the autumn.
The following statement was published Wednesday by the Danish Royal Court:
“At the end of June, His Royal Highness Prince Christian will finish ninth grade at Tranegårdskolen in Gentofte, where the Prince has been a student since first grade.
“The prince wants to continue his schooling at Herlufsholm Gymnasium in Næstved, where he is registered for the boarding school after the summer holidays.”
