NEW ULM The Preliminary Plat for the Korth’s second subdivision was reviewed and unanimously recommended by the New Ulm Planning Commission, Thursday.
The property is located at 213 KC Road and is designated as low density residential. The plat would be subdivided the current parcel into two lots.
T. Eugene Clark and Jennifer A. Clark are the applicants for this plat and owners of the property. This new plat would allow the sale of part of the property. The plat would be divided into two lots. The first would be 78,844 square feet. The second lot 30,492 square feet.
This recommendation came will conditions to provide a 10′ utility easement on all street frontages and a 5′ utility easement on each side of the lot line between the lots. A residence constructed on the first lot will connect to the City’s utility systems. The utility hookup charges will be determined by the City and Public Utilities Commission at the time the request to connect is made by the

NEW ULM The New Ulm Planning Commission selected Upper Cottonwood, Pollinator Park, Maplewood and Lakeside Village as the top locations to develop neighborhood parks.
Over the last few months, New Ulm has been reviewing existing and proposed parks for development. The Park and Recreation Commission took the lead on creating a ranking system to identify the most appropriate location for the next park.
The Planning Commission has also participated in the review process. Last month, the Planning Commission members each identified their top three choices for the next park. Upper Cottonwood, Laekside Village and Maplewood were ranked the highest by the Planning Commissioners, but they deferred any further action until more information was available on the Parks Commission’s evaluation process.

NEW ULM The New Ulm Planning Commission will receive a report on the next neighborhood park project, Thursday.
The panel previously reviewed existing and proposed park areas and created ranking systems to identify the most appropriate location for the next park.
The Planning Commission has participated in the review process. Last month, the Planning Commission members each identified their top three choices for the next park. Upper Cottonwood, Lakeside Village and Maplewood were ranked the highest by the planning commissioners, but they deferred any further action until more information was available on the Parks Commission’s evaluation process. The parks commissioners have since held a work session to finalize selection criteria and a scoring system. It is anticipated the Parks Commission will vote on the final park ranking at their March 8 meeting.
