Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso and Vice Mayor Ma. Shielah “Honey” Lacuna-Pangan led the ground breaking ceremony along Taft Avenue in Manila.
The city government allotted a budget of P1.3 billion for the construction of the new building.
Domagoso noted that the school is the first science school in the country and that “it was only fitting that the cream of the crop would have a well-appointed school building.”
“All of you deserve better things from your government,” he said.

The Manila city government broke ground on Monday for the construction of the modern 10-storey public school building of the Rosauro Almario Elementary School.

Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, an alumnus of the school, led the groundbreaking ceremony on Kagitingan Street in Tondo, Manila where the 10-storey building will soon rise.
“Today, we will provide more jobs, more classrooms. We will achieve better student-teacher ratio for better and conducive classroom environment in a public education system,” he said.

Iranian ambassador Alireza Tootoonchian has commended the Manila city government’s continuous effort to help curb the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic in the country.
