Deputies on the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Registration Unit and the U.S. Marshal s Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force, which had developed information as to the possible location of wanted sex offender, arrested Mark Anthony Honeycutt early Wednesday.
Honeycutt was wanted for felony failure to report a new address as required of a convicted sex offender. On that charge, he was jailed in the Henderson County Detention Center on a $20,000 secured bond. He was held without bond on a probation violation.
Honeycutt was convicted in 2003, 2017 and 2018 in Henderson, Cabarrus and Mecklenburg counties on charges including worthless checks, drunken driving and obstructing justice. He was released from his most recent state prison stay last April, state Department of Public Safety records show.
