BANGKOK: Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on Thursday (Jul 29) downplayed the COVID-19 situation Thailand, while claiming that other nations are dealing with higher caseloads.
In a special interview held at the Government House, he said: “If we contemplate the transmission in our country, it may seem shocking, given the daily fatalities. I want you to try paying attention to these numbers in our neighbouring countries and others for a change.”

Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), in collaboration with International Telecommunication Union (ITU), hosted Girls in ICT Day on 22 April 2021 at NBTC auditorium, Office of the NBTC.
Mr. Trairat Viriyasirikul, Deputy Secretary General Acting Secretary General of Office of the NBTC, presided over the opening ceremony which was conducted virtually. Ms. Doreen Bogdan-Martin, the BDT Director of ITU also joined the event through a virtual platform to welcome participants who joined together to celebrate and encourage girls and young women worldwide to leverage ICT to reach their potential. The girls and young women could apply ICT skills to further their studies and pursue careers in ICT and improve their lives going forward.

Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission hosted the 3rd Bilateral Meeting with Telecommunication Regulator of Cambodia (TRC) in virtual meeting format with an aim to enhance telecommunication sector development and coordinating frequency usages in ASEAN region.
On 19 April 2021, Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (Office of the NBTC) hosted the 3rd Bilateral Meeting between Office of the NBTC and TRC, Cambodia where the meeting aimed to strengthen cooperation between the two organisations in reference to an MoU signed on 24 August 2015.
