Polk County authorities say the fire caused $30,000 in damages

The fire was at 13407 US HWY 75 North, owned by Arlen Stroble.
A deputy says a nearby burning hay bale started a the quonset on fire.
The building and everything inside is a total loss, estimating about $30,000 in damages.
No was was injured in the blaze.

A Facebook post says staffing shortages are to blame for the closure

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) After decades of serving up pies, Duane’s House of Pizza has closed its Moorhead location.
“It’s my wife and I’s favorite pizza. It definitely has that local and unique taste,” Duane’s customer Jordan Johnson said.
After serving the community for 64 years, Duane’s House of Pizza has closed its Moorhead location. The business made the announcement on Facebook saying in part, “We are permanently closing our Moorhead location due to continued staffing shortages.”
One loyal customer who drives 75 miles for Duane’s is saddened by the loss of a location she has always known.

The Douglas County Sheriff s Office says the victim is 59-year-old Danny Haak of Alexandria.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says the victim is 59-year-old Danny Haak of Alexandria.
The 911 call came in shortly before 5 o’clock that there was a man in the water.
He was brought to shore by neighbors and CPR was started.
Emergency responders arrived and continued CPR and life-saving measures but were unsuccessful.
The man was found around 30 to 40 feet from shore and in four to eight feet of water.
He was not wearing a life vest.

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) Another local restaurant will be in the TV spotlight this weekend.
Rustica Eatery & Tavern posted to Facebook that it will be featured on Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” this Friday at 8 p.m.
The Moorhead restaurant is one of many in the metro that have recently made it on the hit show.
The show’s host Guy Fieri visited in June where he also made stops at Nichole’s Fine Pastry & Café, Pounds, Blackbird Woodfire, Sol Ave. Kitchen and Passage to India.
