It all began on Tuesday with the arrest of a suspect in connection with the disappearance of two boys in Biafra, within Eastleigh area in Nairobi County.
Within hours of his arrest, the 20-year-old man led DCI officers from the Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau to a spot where he claimed to have dumped bodies of two boys aged 12 and 13 in a thicket near the Kenya School of Government in Kabete.
One of the bodies was identified by the family of a missing child yesterday at the City Mortuary as that of Junior Mutuku Musyoka, 12. The other body is yet to be identified.

The police have also launched investigations into claims that some officials from a county government along with former disarmed NPRs were involved in the attack that took place in broad day light.
Lagdera Deputy County Commissioner Philip Koima said the armed men raided Kampi Samaki which lies in the disputed area between Isiolo and Garissa counties.
He said the assailant also torched seven houses as local residents scampered for safety in the neighbouring villages.
Questions have also emerged on how 70 armed individuals could have planned and executed the attack without the knowledge of security officers in the area.
National Police Reservist Noor Keinan sustained gunshot injuries to the abdomen and is receiving treatment at Benane Hospital. His AK47 rifle was stolen.
Thirty-three camels were stolen from herders Hussein Roble and Ali Adan at Kampi Samaki.
The police have also launched investigations on the involvement of the Isiolo county inspectorate as well as former disarmed National Police Reservists.
