TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Although the community has been generous in the support of the work of nonprofits, many organizations are going into their second event season where they might be unable to hold fundraising events. Tax credit is a great way to help your community while also helping yourself.
The Arizona Charitable Tax Credit Coalition is a group of organizations who joined forces to promote available tax credits. The state of Arizona offers several individual tax credits, namely the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit, and they help people donate to charities and qualifying organizations. For the past several years a group of Southern Arizona non-profits have combined resources to help inform Arizonans about the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit program. This year, group feedback and a conversation with another coalition in Northern Arizona led the group to seek a partnership with the Arizona Community Foundation.
In the summer of 2020, the group partnered with Angie Laskarides, MA, CAP, Arizona Community Foundation to open a collaborative fund to allow donors a âone-clickâ donation process. âThe Arizona Community Foundation is excited to assist Southern Arizona non-profits in achieving their goals. This partnership serves a common good with greater efficiency, and we are pleased to be able to meet the Coalitionâs needs through a collaborative fund,â said Laskarides.
