Barbara ‘Barb’ Zook Montgomery EAST LIVERPOOL Barbara “Barb” Jean Zook Montgomery, 75, of East Liverpool, passed away Tuesday morning in her home on Richardson Ave. Barb was born June 2, 1945, in East Liverpool, was a 1963 graduate of ELHS, and a lifetime resident and Potter fan. She was the daughter of Harry Zook and Dorothy Birch Zook. Barb spent the final 15 years of her life better known as “Grammy”. She spent those loving years watching and supporting her grandchild, Jake, as he excelled in baseball and basketball. Not only her grandchild, but the entirety of the team, would rely on Grammy to provide drinks, candy, and endless support at each and every game.

Sue C. Allison WEIRTON, W.Va. Sue C. Allison, 84, of Chester, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Weirton Medical Center, following COVID-related complications. Family has been grateful for the Fox staff and residents, especially at Pepperberry Suites where she received fine personal care. Born June 15, 1936, in East Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Cleo and Ruth Schaffer Linger. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Allen T. Allison (Thayer); sons, Vincent Thayer and Stephen Paul Allison; great-nephew, Marcus Murray. Sue was a graduate of Chester High School Class of 1954. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in education and a minor in music from West Liberty University. Sue retired from the Hancock County School system after 43 years of service. She had an incredible passion for public education and enjoyed a long and distinguished career, often remarking, “I think I taught every child in the county!”

Dec 11, 2020 EAST LIVERPOOL Margie Ann White, 72, of East Liverpool, passed, Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at East Liverpool City Hospital, following a brief illness. Born, July 30, 1948, in Youngstown, she is a daughter of the late Robert and Margret Newsome White. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Robert White, and sister, Claudia Sage. Margie was a graduate of Ursuline High School. She received her Bachelor of Science and Education Degree from Youngstown State University, and she obtained a master’s degree from the University of Dayton. Margie retired from East Liverpool School District North Elementary where she taught 1st grade.
