LAHORE: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) on Wednesday demanded technical allowance for teacher engineers working in engineering universities of the province.
UET Lahore Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mansoor Sarwar wrote to the secretary of regulation technical allowance is being paid to all engineers working in Punjab province. The governor has allowed Technical Allowance at 1.5 times of the initial Basic Pay Scales to engineers registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council and holders of engineering degree from the accredited engineering programs of higher education institutions duly recognized by the Higher Education Commission.
“The Board of Governors in its 34th meeting has approved Training Allowance equal to one basic pay per month frozen on basic pay scale 2015 for all engineering faculty members of Government Engineering Academy Punjab, Lahore in addition to their normal salary and other allowances with immediate effect”, the letter reads. ....
