Queen Elizabeth II is back to work following the funeral of her beloved husband, Prince Philip.
Her Majesty The Queen conducted a series of royal engagements on Tuesday, marking her first since the Duke of Edinburgh was laid to rest on April 17. He died on April 9 at the age of 99.
Queen Elizabeth began her morning with two virtual audiences with incoming ambassadors, relayed via video link from Windsor Castle. Audiences are one-on-one meetings with the queen, and are a key element of her day-to-day work. The reigning monarch was all smiles in images released from the virtual event.

A new playground featuring replicas of iconic buildings from around the Queen s Royal Estate at Sandringham has opened.
The opening of the new play area was postponed due to the death of Prince Philip but Sandringham Estate announced it is now open to the public following the period of Royal mourning.

Its centerpiece is a replica of the Appleton Water Tower which is inspired by the nearby Victorian landmark that was originally built to improve the quality of water supply at Sandringham House in 1877.

MEGHAN Markle and Archie phoned the Queen before Prince Philip s funeral, it has been claimed.
The pair spoke to Her Majesty on the phone from California while Prince Harry was in the UK, according to People magazine.
And the pregnant Duchess was sure to keep in contact with her husband too, reportedly calling him every day on the phone to reassure him and ease his concerns about her welfare while he was away.
“Meghan and Harry have been in touch every day. She knows the trip to England has been difficult for Harry, a source told the magazine.
