The seasonal waterbus that runs on the Brussels Canal from Vilvoorde to Saintctelette is back in business as of today. More space for bicycles has been introduced this year.
The waterbus runs between the Steenkaai in the centre of Vilvoorde to Avenue du Port in Brussels, just north of Saintctelette. The service, popular with commuters, is available from May to October every year.
According to Guido Moens of Water and Kanaaltochten Brabant, which runs the service, it is being used more and more by locals and tourists alongside the regular commuters. “So we have increased capacity for bicycles this year,” he told VRT. “There are more cycle racks on the bus.”
