“The University of Utah has raised approximately $50,000 through the revenue generated by tickets sales to support our Utah artists and U students,” said Aaron White, director, Stadium & Arena Event Services. “The U has found a great partner in the Utah Department of Cultural & Community Engagement which does incredible work supporting this community.”
The artists receiving grant funding will be professionals who lost significant earnings because of the COVID-19 pandemic which caused the cancellation of festivals, community celebrations, gallery shows and other events relied upon by artists for income.
