The Muntinlupa City government will continue its COVID-19 vaccination program even under the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) which will be implemented in Metro Manila on Aug. 6 to 20.
In an announcement, the Muntinlupa City COVID-19 Vaccination Program (MunCoVac) said “The vaccination in Muntinlupa will continue regardless of community quarantine classification.”

Netizens have praised the planned opening of an office of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in Muntinlupa.
The PRC is set to open a new service center at Ayala Malls South Park in Alabang to cater to professionals in southern Metro Manila and nearby areas.

The Muntinlupa center will provide the same services offered by the PRC head office including application for examination, initial registration, renewal of professional identification card, and certification of board rating and passing.

The Muntinlupa City government will resume the vaccination of people whose second dose jabs using the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine scheduled at Festival Mall in Alabang were suspended due to storage temperature glitch.
In an announcement, the Muntinlupa City COVID-19 Vaccination Program (MunCoVac) team announced Sunday that the affected recipients will receive their second dose Pfizer-BioNTech jabs from July 26 to 28 at the Ayala Malls South Park vaccination site.

“The sending of text messages containing the new time and date of your vaccination is ongoing,” said MunCoVac.

The Muntinlupa City government has already vaccinated 36 percent of the target population as it continued to ramp up its daily output.
As of June 30, a total of 139,942 individuals received their first dose of the vaccine, equivalent to 36.28 percent of the target Muntinlupa population of 385,725, or 70 percent of the estimated 551,036 set by government to achieve the so-called herd immunity.

In addition, 37,215 individuals of the 139,942, or 26.6 percent, have been fully vaccinated after receiving their second dose.
Of the 139,942 who received the first dose, 10,674 or 7.62 percent belonged to A1 (health workers); 18,462 or 13.2 percent to A2 (senior citizens); 63,510 or 45.38 percent to A3 (persons with comorbidities); 40,727 or 29.1 percent to A4 (essential workers), and 6,569 or 4.7 percent to A5 (poor population
