Lucknow, Feb 23 : The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has given necessary clearance to Kushinagar airport, to make it Uttar Pradesh s third licensed international airport.
Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, on Tuesday, tweeted that Uttar Pradesh got its third international airport in the form of Kushinagar, and this will help boost tourism in the region. Kushinagar airport gets necessary clearances from DGCA to become third licensed international airport of UP. Will boost tourism in the region and facilitate travel on Buddhist circuit by providing direct aviation connectivity to the city where Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana, he said.

Lucknow, Feb 22 : The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh, that presented its first paperless Budget on Monday, has rolled out a number of sops for farmers.
UP Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, in his Budget speech, said that the state government was committed to the promise of doubling farmers income and had earmarked a sum for Rs 700 crore for free irrigation.
The government has announced Rs 600 crore for farmers accident welfare scheme. A sum of Rs 400 crore has been set aside for providing crop loans to farmers. The government has earmarked Rs 3,100 crore for farmers pension. The state government, in 2021-22, also proposes to set up 15,000 solar pumps.

Lucknow: The Yogi government on Monday (February 22) tabled the state Budget 2021-22 proposing a fund of Rs 140 crore for the development of Ayodhya. While Rs 597 crore will be allocated for Kanpur Metro Rail this year. At the same time, the Yogi government has made a provision for the construction of a national inspiration site in Lucknow at a cost of 50 crores.
