Solicitor General Cyrenius Cephus
It was a dramatic day on Tuesday, May 18, during the contempt proceeding against the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) for the reported absence of prosecutors (government lawyers) in court proceedings throughout the country, when the Solicitor General Sayma Syrenius Cephus openly cast blame on the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP) for the unfortunate situation.
Samuel D. Tweah, Jr, Minister of Finance and Development Planning, who controls the governmentâs fiscal affairs, is therefore regarded as a facilitator in the plight of the prosecutors.
Therefore, the judges have partially accepted Cllr. Cephusâs contention to include the Minister of Finance in the problem causing prosecutors not to show up in court.
