AKRON A Macedonia man is accused of threatening to shoot utility company employees when they tried to access an electrical transmission line on his property, according to a civil case filed by Ohio Edison and American Transmission Systems Inc.
According to the civil case, filed March 30 in the Summit County Court of Common Pleas, James Arnold of Chinaberry Circle North called the FirstEnergy Service Company March 19 and left a threatening voicemail message, reportedly saying “I’m going to shoot you if I see you on my property.” In addition, on that day Arnold reportedly sent a number of emails to two employees of FirstEnergy Service Company that, among other things, saying that he had installed trespassing signs on his land reading that trespassers will be shot on site, and that he would defend my property and family and shoot the aggressors.
