Wives of the 19 Northern states governors have counseled mothers on the inculcation of proper moral upbringing in their children.
In their Ed il fitri message made available to newsmen in Minna on Thursday, the governorsâ wives said proper training of children âis one of the panacea to insecurity in the country.â
In the message signed by the Chairperson of the forum and wife of the Niger state governor, Dr. Amina Sani Bello, they said sound morale training in children âis one of the ways to make them responsible and better citizens.â
The forum declared that mothers, who are home keepers and character moulders, should also redouble their efforts in inculcating sound morals and discipline âin our future generations.â

The wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, Aisha, yesterday donated some food items to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Gwada town of Niger State.
The items donated included 1,000 bags of 5kg bags of rice; 1,000 packaged food items; 150 cartons of noodles among others.
The wife of the Governor of Niger State, Dr. Amina Sani Bello, handed over the items to the Director-General of the Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA), Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmed Inga, at the Gwada IDP camps.
In a brief remark, Inga appreciated the gesture of the first lady, saying the donations will go a long way to ameliorate the sufferings of the IDPs.
In a bid to boost agricultural production in Niger State, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Ahmed Ibrahim Matane has reaffirmed Government’s commitment to support Smallholder Farmers across the value chain in order to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 pandemic.
Ahmed Matane disclosed this at the 4th Annual Harvest Festival organized by Zuma 88.5 FM Radio, Abuja with the theme: “using radio to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on food security and agriculture in Nigeria”.
The SSG who is also the Chairman, State Task Force on COVID-19 Pandemic stated that it becomes imperative for the State Government to provide support to production systems across value chains with a view to mitigating the impact of Coronavirus.
