In May s general election, one of the races voters will be making their voices heard on is who will be four members of the city council for Amarillo for the next term.
The new members of the city council will join the person elected to be Amarillo s mayor, a race which is also on May s election ballot. A preview for that specific race ran previously in print and is available on the Amarillo Globe-News website.

Report: Amarillo home sales, prices rose in 2020 despite pandemic
According to the Amarillo Association of Realtors 2020 Amarillo Housing Report, home sales and home prices here increased last year - despite a reduction in active listings.

In Texas, the number of homes sold in 2020 was 393,615, for a rise of 9.5 percent over 2019, and the state s median home price rose 8 percent over 2019 to $259,230.
