Lamar McKay Appointed to Apache Corporation Board of Directors

HOUSTON, Feb. 10, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) Apache Corporation (Nasdaq: APA) today announced the appointment of Lamar McKay to its board of directors.
McKay, 62, served as the chief transition officer of BP p.l.c. (BP) from October 2019 until his retirement in December 2020. He previously served as BP’s deputy chief executive officer since February 2016. Prior to that role, from January 2013, McKay was the chief executive of BP’s worldwide upstream business. Mr. McKay was also chairman and president of BP America, Inc. and executive vice president of BP since January 2009. He began his career in 1980 with Amoco (now BP), and held leadership positions of increasing responsibility throughout his career.

HOUSTON, Jan. 14, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) Apache Corporation (Nasdaq: APA) and Total S.A. (NYSE: TOT) today announced an oil discovery at the Keskesi East-1 exploration well in Block 58 offshore Suriname.
Keskesi East-1 encountered targets in the upper Cretaceous-aged Campanian and Santonian intervals. The shallower Campanian interval contains 58 meters (190 feet) of net oil, volatile oil and condensate pay and the Santonian interval contains 5 meters (16 feet) of net oil and volatile oil pay. Fluid samples indicate API oil gravities of approximately 27 to 28 degrees in the Campanian and 35 to 37 degrees in the Santonian. Total (NYSE: TOT) has announced that it and Apache Corporation (Nasdaq: APA) have made a “significant” new oil and gas discovery at the Keskesi East-1 well in Block 58 off the coast of Suriname.
The well was drilled at a water depth of about 2,380 feet and was said to have encountered a total of 206 feet of hydrocarbons, comprising 190 feet net of black oil, volatile oil, and gas pay in good quality Campano-Maastrichtian reservoirs, and 16 feet of net volatile oil pay in Santonian reservoirs.
