Renovations at Stark Veterans Service Commission means more space

PLAIN TWP Prior to this year, many of Stark County Veterans Service Commission s 24 employees were working two or three in an office, said the commission s executive director Dee Ann M. Williams.  Then a year ago, the cramped VSC offices at Whipple-dale Center on Wise Avenue NE started undergoing significant renovations and expansion of its existing 1,600 square feet. About 934 square feet of what was space for the Stark County Board of Developmental Disabilities became Veterans Services offices, a staff restroom and a large conference room. Every staffer would have their own office. Veterans visiting to get referrals for government benefits would get more privacy.
