On August 23, 2020, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha reviewed mega projects of Jammu division in a high-level meeting attended by the Advisors, the then Chief Secretary and other senior bureaucrats of J&K Union Territory.

Lt Governor speaking during International Women’s Day celebrations at Srinagar through virtual mode Lt Governor Manoj Sinha announced the launch of the Super-75 scholarship scheme to support the education of meritorious girls belonging to economically backward families, so that they can excel in Medicine, Engineering, ITI and Humanity. The LG also announced a new scheme,  Tejaswini, under Mission Youth, to provide financial assistance of Rs 5 lakhs to the girls between the age group of 18 to 35 years to start their businesses. Mission Youth will provide 10 per cent of the project cost and will also pay the interest every year. The government also announced that no fee will be charged up to 12th standard from 5,89,000 girl students who took admission in different government-run schools. Meanwhile, the Mission Youth is soon going to start a digital marketing skill development programme in which 50 per cent of girls participation is expected.

JAMMU: Taking a major step towards making Jammu city more vibrant, citizen-friendly and congestion-free, Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha today inaugurated the much-awaited General Bus stand, Multi-level Car Parking cum Commercial Complex worth Rs 213.08 crore. LG Inaugurates General Bus Stand Jammu, Multilevel Car Parking Cum Commercial Complex In Jammu Worth Rs 213.08 Crore Constructed by Jammu Development Authority (JDA), the new facility has built-up area of around 60,064 sqm, having a parking capacity of 80 Buses in bus terminal, 1312 cars, 177 two wheelers and 239 commercial shops, besides dedicated space for restaurants and food courts. Speaking on the occasion, the Lt Governor termed the opening of the facility of General Bus stand cum Multi-level Car Parking as a step towards the comprehensive development of physical, social and basic infrastructure to accommodate the business class as well as meeting essential requirements of quality life for ordinary citizens.
