Pregnant persons 16 and over eligible to book vaccine appointment On Tuesday, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry announced pregnant persons over 16 years of age can book their vaccine appointment. “Today, we are adding pregnant persons 16 and older to those who are eligible to book their vaccine,” says Henry. “If you are pregnant, this is your time.”

The top grade 4 science project goes to Anne Roberts Young students Jacob Moskalyk and Blake Bennett for their project  Rehydrate, Replenish, Refuel. The grade 5 winning project goes to Charlie Lake student Jillian Heinrichs for her project Heart of a Dancer. The grade 6 winner goes to École Central student Julia Bennett for her project Great Gobs of Gluten. The virtual Canada Wide Science Fair in Ottawa goes from May 17th to 21st. B C sees seven additional Coronavirus deaths, 18 new variant of concern cases

British Columbia s COVID-19 numbers have once again risen. In a written statement this afternoon (March 3), Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix said 542 cases of the virus were detected during the past 24 hours, bringing the grand total to 75,819.  Of the new cases, Northern Health recorded 44, bringing the authority total to 4,686 since the virus hit the region on March 14, 2020. Officials announced seven more deaths linked to the virus today, bringing the province s toll to 1,372. There are 4,654 active cases throughout B.C. with 246 people currently hospitalized, 64 of which are in ICU or critical care. Dr. Henry revealed there have been 18 new variants of concern cases, bringing the provincial total to 200, with 11 active.
