With so much work to do to establish this time period if the comic is your first experience with it, Cavan Scott has been doing a solid job with it. I’m still not feeling as grounded in it as I probably feel I should be, but that’ll come when I eventually get to the novel and dig into that. The High Republic series isn’t something that I’ll say has gotten better as it went along but rather I was able to connect with it more as Cavan Scott was able to get past laying out some of the foundations. The previous issue felt like it was finding its groove and that’s expanded here even as we work semi-separate storylines and hint at other things going on in the big picture as well for this period. The launch of the High Republic has been something I’ve been eager for since it was first announced.
