Cleveland State tops Ohio for first dual win of season Cleveland State University Sports Information 2/14/2021 ATHENS, Ohio The Cleveland State University wrestling team earned its first win of the season and evened its record at 1-1 in Mid-American Conference play on Sunday afternoon.
The Vikings (1-3, 1-1) dropped the first two bouts of the dual before taking seven of eight matches the rest of the way, including five straight, to clinch a 23-12 victory.
Ohio s Oscar Sanchez secured the lone takedown of the 125-pound bout to claim a 3-2 win over Jake Manley to open the proceedings.
The Bobcats extended their lead to 6-0 with another narrow decision at 133 pounds. Ohio s Mario Guillen logged four takedowns in his 9-6 win over Vikings sophomore Logan Heil, who drew within a point with a first-period reversal and trailed only 6-5 before Guillen pulled away in the third.

Central Michigan and Cleveland State split their 10 matches, but the Chippewas scored bonus points in three of their victories for the difference in a 21-15 Mid-American Conference dual victory at the Vikings Woodling Gymnasium. The Chippewas improved to 3-2. Cleveland State is 0-3.
It was the Chippewas biggest guns who delivered. Fourth-ranked Drew Hildebrandt won on a first-period pin to open the dual at 125 pounds; 12th-ranked Dresden Simon posted a 16-1 technical fall at 141; and fourth-ranked Matt Stencel took a 13-3 major decision at 285.

Tony Rice, a virtuoso bluegrass guitarist and singer who collaborated with Ricky Skaggs, Jerry Garcia and Béla Fleck, and who, with mandolinist David Grisman, defined the synthesis of bluegrass, jazz and chamber music known as dawg music, died Dec. 25 at his home in Reidsville, N.C. He was 69.
His death was confirmed in a news release by Casey Campbell, a spokesman for the International Bluegrass Music Association, who did not give a cause of death.
Tony Rice could seemingly do it all: sing, compose, play spot-on rhythm. But it was his guitar solos that just astounded audiences and fellow musicians
