TULSA In 1975, iconic Oklahoma writer Ralph Ellison returned to his home state to be honored and left it with a message: that through art and literature, we are able to free ourselves from the limitations of today.” He talked about the role of literature and the art in allowing us to process the world that we re in, said Sara O’Keeffe, the Nancy E. Meinig Associate Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at Tulsa s Philbrook Museum of Art. What s beautiful about the speech is he d come back because a library was getting named in his honor. . It was significant for him because the library system had been segregated in Oklahoma, and so growing up for him, it was difficult to go to certain libraries.
It’s a gen X thing. We’re apathetic about everything. Except, apparently, vaccinations.

So sorry and sad to hear about this. Not only did my kids grow up with and play sports with the Frost kids as neighbors but my husband was a fellow coach . Barry always had a huge smile on his face. He will be missed.

Sue and Family, It was so sad to hear the news about Barry. He was a very important part of the UW Power Plant family. He was the most helpful person I’ve ever met, from helping move to a new house to replacing a starter on my truck, there was nothing he wouldn’t do to help others. We’ve missed him since his retirement and we’ll miss him even more now. Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to help.
