LIMA WAR Wrestling will return at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, to the Empowered Sports Center, 1730 N. Union St., Lima, for “United We Stand” and a Spin the Wheel Challenge, during which fans spin a wheel to decide who will wrestle on the spot.
Advanced tickets are on sale at Groamy’s CDs and Tapes, 1206 W. Robb Ave., Lima, and online at www.warwrestling.com for $16 reserved VIP seating or $12 general admission. VIP doors open at 5:30 p.m., general admission seating opens at 6:30 p.m. Bell time is 7 p.m.
Memorial Day events highlight the weekend

LIMA Residents will get their chance to honor the men and women who paid for freedom with their lives this weekend, with an assortment of Memorial Day events planned in the region.
Lima’s annual event will be different. A gathering will start at 11 a.m. Monday at VFW Post 1275, at the corner of East Elm and South Main streets in Lima. At 11:30 a.m., they will march north toward the flagpole at Lima’s Town Square. At noon, the flag will raise from half staff to full staff, with the playing of Taps.
