After 77 years from when it was founded, the Greater Detroit Area Health Council is dissolving and merging into Lansing-based Michigan Public Health Institute, according to a statement from the two health organizations Thursday.
In a GDAHC board meeting Wednesday night, the board approved the dissolution of GDAHC and integration with MPHI, effective Dec. 31.
