Less than a year after announcing the restaurant’s future departure from Rehoboth Beach, Nicola Pizza has sold its two downtown properties.
According to Sussex County property records, the two sites sold April 5 for a total of $4 million – $2.4 million for the Rehoboth Avenue location and $1.6 million for the North First Street parcel. The properties were sold to Trahos Capital Investments LLC, which has a mailing address of Falls Church, Va.
Nick Caggiano Sr., who founded Nicola Pizza with his late wife Joan in 1971, confirmed the sale of the properties. In an interview April 20, he said the restaurant will operate in Rehoboth Beach through the summer of 2021.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. A lawsuit was filed earlier this week against Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio on behalf of more than 20 boutique fitness studios several of which are located on Staten Island due to gym classes still being banned across New York City.
With movie theaters, billiards halls and catering halls having an opening date on the horizon, boutique fitness studio owners say they have been left out of the reopening plans.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Larissa Schiano-Gonzalez often goes to her business, Be Yoga & Dance in Rosebank, to dance and/or meditate alone.
It helps relieve the stress she has endured because her business has been closed for almost a year, as fitness class still aren’t allowed in New York City amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic even though they have resumed in the rest of the Empire State.

An 11-year-old girl has become the first person in Oman to represent the country at one of the most prestigious go-karting championships in the world.
Shivali Sinha, who originally comes from India, is looking forward to racing for her country of residence at the Grand Finals of the 2020 Rotax Max Challenge, which will take place between 23 and 30 January this year.
She earned the right to take part after finishing a runner-up in the regional Rotax Max Gulf Championship, which took place in the United Arab Emirates. Racers from all over the Middle East travelled to take part in a series of eight races held during the year.
