A Queensland coal activist has been ordered to pay mining giant Adani’s legal fees, worth thousands of dollars, as part of an ongoing court battle.
Adani and the Carmichael Rail Network launched legal action against Ben Pennings last year, accusing him of trespassing, breach of contract, intimidation and conspiracy to injure and seeking compensation for losses.
Ben Pennings will be forced to pay thousands of dollars in legal fees to Adani’s lawyers.
