LG directs for speedy completion of Smart City projects

JAMMU, Mar 17: Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha today chaired a high-level meeting to review the progress being made on the prestigious Jammu and Srinagar Smart City projects.
During the review meeting, the Lt Governor asked the concerned functionaries to make a visible impact while working with high professionalism and clear vision.
Laying special emphasis on accelerating the approval of DPRs and tender allotment process, the Lt Governor directed CEOs of Jammu Smart City Limited (JSCL) and Srinagar Smart City Limited (SSCL) for constituting a technical committee for early vetting of DPRs of the projects.
DoPT clears inter-cadre deputation of 5 IAS officers for posting in J&K

JAMMU, Feb 6: With a view to overcome shortage of IAS officers in Jammu and Kashmir, the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) today cleared inter-cadre deputation of four IAS officers for their posting in the Union Territory in relaxation of the policy for a period of three years in case of three officers and two years in case of two.
Excelsior had exclusively reported that to reduce shortage of IAS officers in Jammu and Kashmir, the DoPT has decided to relax Policy to ensure that local officers of J&K posted in other States/Union Territories as well as other officers interested for posting in J&K, are shifted here.
