Hernandez bares his soul in emotional farwell message to Leeds fans

Pablo Hernandez penned an emotional letter to Leeds supporters after saying an emotional farewell during Sunday’s 3-1 win over West Brom at Elland Road.
The legendary Spaniard will leave Elland Road when his contract expires at the end of June and started his final match against the Baggies on the final day of the Premier Lague campaign.
36-year-old has already revealed that he has no intention of hanging up his boots just yet.
“I knew this moment was coming but you are never prepared for it,” he wrote, in a letter tweeted out by his wife.

The Lancastrian went on to write Girl of Mine (1973) for Elvis Presley and composed several songs with Charles Aznavour.

He also wrote for Elvis Presley, and his fellow lyricist Tim Rice admired his talent for telling a life story in three minutes

Barry Mason, the songwriter, who has died aged 85, channelled micro-dramas of love and loss in the lyrics to a string of pop hits in the 1960s and 1970s, notably The Last Waltz and Delilah.
With music by his early collaborator Les Reed, The Last Waltz was one of three songs completed on a wet Sunday in 1967 after their golf date was rained off.

As well as pop ballads, he also wrote sporting hit Marching On Together which became the song of Leeds United
Spandau Ballet guitarist Gary Kemp and singer Engelbert Humperdinck are among those to have paid tribute to Mason following the news of his death

During the game, the fake crowd noise operators started playing Marching On Together – a song commonly associated with Leeds.
