FEEL gets new chairman after 20 years

THE Foundation for the Enhancement and Enrichment of Life (FEEL) has a new chairman for the first time since 2000, with Prof Sterling Frost replacing long-time head David Dulal-Whiteway.
FEEL s CEO Elena Villafana-Sylvester issued a statement welcoming Frost to the organisation, which was established by Clive Pantin in 1992 to partner with organisations and communities in the areas of poverty alleviation, disaster relief, recovery education and capacity-building, and medical support.
The reconstituted board also includes Amjad Ali, Anthony Hosang, Alain Laquis, Kristian Govia, Mark Carmino, Marlene Chin, Richard Lewis, Wendell Constantine and Villafana-Sylvester, all of whom Villafana-Sylvester said offer valuable perspectives, well-established records of business accomplishments and extensive service to local communities,

TEAMWORK and volunteerism took centre stage when Sagicor launched Project Kindness, a team-driven initiative that seeks to take a hands-on approach to supporting the communities in TT.
Sagicor, supported by its team members, donated 194 hampers to the Foundation for the Enhancement and Enrichment of Life (Feel) and Sewa TT before Christmas, said a media release.

This year proved to be one of the most challenging in recent times. Despite the pitfalls brought on by the covid19 virus since March, including job loss, school closures, and the emotional effects of physical distancing, this year also brought out the very best in people.
Numerous corporate sponsors have contributed to the Ministry of Education’s Adopt a School initiative in the past few months with over 21,000 pledges of laptops and tablets for children engaged in virtual classes. Corporate sponsors have also been making personal contributions to education and many other private donors have contributed to device distribution efforts.
