ORGANISERS of the Beat-Herder Festival which was due to bring 10,000 music lovers to the Ribble Valley in July have postponed this year s event. In a statement, the team behind the bespoke festival have hit out at the Government for not supporting Covid-19 cancellation insurance saying that without it they have been left with no choice but to put off the festival - held at Dockber Farm near Sawley - for the second year running. They said: It s with great sadness and a heavy heart we have to postpone once again the Beat-Herder festival. We ve been wrestling with this for months and it has been incredibly difficult to come to this conclusion, especially against an otherwise optimistic outlook. There s nothing more we d love to do than get out and do some festivalling - it is our lives and passion. Unfortunately there is no realistic alternative.
