I know this is a pretty low bar. I am, after all, a skeptical, self-righteous snob who will chortle at almost anything that doesn’t fit into my world view.

You’ve got to admit that’s a good one.

The active ingredient is a molecule called messenger RNA, or mRNA, which contains genetic instructions for a coronavirus protein called spike.
The mRNA instructs human cells to manufacture spike. This helps the body learn one of the virus’s traits, so that the virus will be recognized and quashed if it tries to establish an infection.
