Investigations have revealed that Uduak Frank, the rapist and killer of Akwa Ibom job seeker, Iniubong Umoren had criminal cases to answer for before the latest saga.
A report by The NEXT EDITION disclosed that the Akwa Ibom State Police Command has not only compromised the investigation into the assault, rape and murder of the job seeker, Umoren, but also disgracefully colluded with the criminal to conceal many parts of the crime.
The Akwa Ibom State Director of National Orientation Agency, Mr. Enoh Uyoh has said the completion of Ibom Deep Seaport in Ibaka, Mbo local council of Akwa Ibom State would forestall approximately $70 million losses to illegal fishing by the Chinese and European trawlers in Nigeria’s territorial waters.
Uyoh stated this on Friday in Uyo while addressing a Maritime Business/International Trade Sensitisation Forum.
He noted that the citing of Ibom Deep Seaport in the area would provide the much-needed security in the region as much attention would be paid to the security of vessels and maritime activities while local fishermen would receive a boost
