Regina Police have arrested and charged a 23-year-old man in connection to Friday’s frightening
Police as well as the RCMP’s Explosives Disposal Units (EDU) attended to the scene just before 11:00 AM on Friday morning. Officers were able to confirm both the store itself and a vehicle in the parking lot both contained items dangerous to the public. Due to safety concerns, traffic on Victoria Avenue was closed for a brief time while RPS and the RCMP continued their investigation.
EDU members were able to ensure the vehicle’s safety while a second EDU team entered the store and safely removed an item and transported it to a secure location for examination and destruction. The suspect, 23-year-old Kyle Poag, was located and arrested on site.
