If you’re 70 and older or have received a first dose of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine on or before April 18 in Ontario you can book your second Covid jab through the provincial booking system starting Monday, June 7th. Eligible people can book now through pharmacies. Almost 330 pharmacies in the province including in the Kingston, Frontenac Lennox and Addington Health District are offering the AstraZeneca vaccine, and nearly 450 additional pharmacies are offering the Moderna vaccine.
The decision to accelerate the 2nd dose timetable was made because of an anticipated increase in vaccine supply. The province says it will continue to speed-up the delivery of second doses based on when a person received their first shot and the availability of vaccine.
