Coronavirus: Turriff Show to be cancelled for second year

The show s cancellation is due to the ongoing uncertainty of hosting large scale events
Turriff Show, the largest two-day agri event in Scotland, has announced the cancellation of the 2021 show due to continued uncertainty regarding regulations.
Organisers of the event said Covid restrictions on mass gatherings, social distancing and lockdown measures were likely to be in place for the foreseeable future.
This year s show was due to take place on 1 and 2 August at The Haughs showground, Turriff, Aberdeenshire
Turriff Show, which usually attracts 24,000 visitors, was also forced to cancel last year.

LAMMA has cancelled the 2021 show as a result of the ongoing Covid-19 situation
Organisers of the LAMMA show have cancelled this year s event due to ongoing uncertainties surrounding the pandemic.
The 2021 agricultural machinery show, due to take place 25-26 May at the NEC in Birmingham, has been called off.
The event s organisers said the safety of visitors and exhibitors was their top priority.
The LAMMA show is seen as a key part of the British farming industry s annual event calendar.
It has a reputation as a launch pad for a host of machinery from the UK and across the globe.

The pandemic has already caused the cancellation of dozens of country shows this year
Organisers of the Royal Welsh Show have confirmed that this year s event will be cancelled and postponed until 2022.
The Welsh government had provided £200,000 funding for Wales flagship and largest agricultural event after the 2020 show was call off due to the pandemic.
Now the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society (RWAS) has again announced that the popular show will not be taking place for a second year running.
The society has also cancelled May’s Smallholding and Countryside Festival and postponed Clwyd’s Feature County Year to 2022.
