Indiana County first responders were busy with a wide variety of calls on Tuesday.
Clyde and Armagh Fire Departments were called out for a brush fire at 1:27 PM on Gamble Road in West Wheatfield Township. This marks the 10
th brush fire in Indiana County this year so far. Saltsburg and Tunnelton fire crews were called to Clubhouse Drive in Westmoreland County to assist firefighters there with a brush fire at 1:22 PM.
Black Lick and Blairsville fire crews and the State Police were called out for a reported vehicle fire at 3:48 PM on Tuesday. Black Lick fire officials say that a vehicle had overturned on Route 217 near Ferguson School Road. When crews got there, they were able to confirm that the vehicle caught fire. Anyone in the car was able to get out safely. State police have not yet released a report on the incident.

The exact date of when it officially began in Cochrane isn’t really known, but there were start up groups all the way back to the 1910’s when they met in the Pro-Cathedral Anglican Church. But in the 1920’s the movement established its roots and has continued since.
