McVEYTOWN David White, an 82-year-old man from McVeytown, died due to injuries sustained in a Dec. 30 crash.
Police said White was turning out of his driveway from Missing Pines Drive in Oliver Township at 7:36 a.m. on his 2007 Yamaha Grizzley F1-700 motorcycle and attempted to make a U-turn onto the roadway when he traveled into the path of Kate Groff, a 23-year-old woman, who was driving a 2008 Dodge Nitro west on Ferguson Valley Road, when he collided with Groff in a T-bone collision.
White was transported to Geisinger-Lewistown Hosptial for treatment of suspected minor injuries but was later prounced dead at approximately 2 p.m. Groff was not injured as a result of the crash.

McVEYTOWN Pennsylvania State Police have revealed the identities of the two drivers involved in a head-on collision Tuesday evening on U.S. 22/522 in Oliver Township.
Police said 60-year-old Cathy L. Richardson, of McVeytown, was traveling in the westbound/southbound lane in her 2019 Nissan Kicks at about 4:40 p.m. Tuesday when she drifted into the opposite lane. At that time, 30-year-old Brandon L. Nolt, of New Holland, who was driving a 2017 Isuzu box truck in the eastbound/northbound lane attempted to swerve to miss Richardson’s vehicle, but could not, resulting in a head-on collision, according to the police report.
