Bring Back Louisiana targets residents in low vaccination areas
After battling COVID-19 in March 2020, Rev. James S. Hardison, Sr., made a promise to himself and God that he would help others not go through the same ordeal.
Last Friday and Saturday, Hardison s church Greater Live Oak Missionary Baptist Church on Fenner Street, was one of the COVID-19 vaccinations sites for Bring Back Louisiana.
The Region 6 Office of Public Health, CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Rapides Regional Medical Center and the Louisiana National Guard were assisting with the program at both Greater Live Oak and Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church on 16th Street. The Pfizer vaccine was administered to those wanting to be vaccinated.
Man charged with second-degree murder in fatal Norfolk shooting

NORFOLK, Va. - A man was arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection with a fatal Friday shooting on Fenner Street.
According to the Norfolk Police Department, 31-year-old Kevin Gumbs was found suffering from gunshot wounds in the 7400 block of Fenner Street around 5 p.m. Friday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gregory A. Mayo, 29, was charged with murder and use of a firearm following Gumbs death. He is currently being held without bond in the Norfolk City Jail.

NORFOLK, Va. - Norfolk Police are investigating a fatal shooting in the area of Guy Avenue and Fenner Street Friday evening.
The call came in around 5 p.m.
Police say the victim, a man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
There is no further information.
